September Chairman's Message

Hello North MS Emmaus Community!

Congratulations go out to our newly elected board members! Those serving as the Class of 2028 will be Bubba DeLoach, Wesley Brown, Beth Roberts, Cathy Cummings, and David Keen. Mike Dowd will be serving a 2-year term as the Community Spiritual Director. Our Community has 15 Board Members (12 lay persons and 3 clergy) who serve alongside our Community Spiritual Director and immediate past chairman. Our community is in agreement with The Upper Room in Nashville and is tasked with the responsibility of seeing that the Upper Room guidelines are followed for all Emmaus weekends. This is one of the reasons we try to ensure that each weekend is basically identical so that each pilgrim can receive the same messages and blessings. Please be in prayer for our board as they serve diligently to make sure these guidelines are followed.

God has provided us with a blessed Emmaus year so far.  Many have served tirelessly and showed the love of Christ as we have welcomed new brothers and sisters into our community.  We now have over 12,000 brothers and sisters in our community!   As we approach the last of the walk weekends, please pray for the pilgrims and team members.  The next walks are:
