December Chairman's Message

DeColores everyone,

I would like to start by thanking all Emmaus members for making 2025 an awesome Emmaus year, and for warmly welcoming all new members from the 11 Emmaus Walks and 6 Chrysalis Flights this past year. As we move into the Christmas season, I pray that each of you has a delightful and meaningful time with loved ones—and most importantly, that Christ is glorified through our actions.

I wanted to share a few updates and general information as we look ahead to the 2026 year.

2026 Emmaus Walks

We will be having 9 walks this upcoming year, beginning in March:

Walk 385 – Michael Harlow, LD – March 5–8

Walk 386 – Norma Leigh Perry, LD – March 12–15

Walk 388 – Tony Smith, LD – April 9–12

Walk 389 – Paula Fleming, LD – April 16–19

Walk 390 – David Groner, LD – May 28–31

Walk 391 – Shannon Jones, LD – June 4–7

Walk 392 – Jennifer Shepherd, LD – September 10–13

Walk 393 – John Sumrall, LD – October 1–4

Walk 394 – Carrie Chaney, LD – October 8–11

Please be in prayer for each weekend—the Lay Directors, team formation, and the pilgrims who will attend. Prayer is the backbone of the Emmaus weekend, and we ask that you continually lift our community and all that takes place within it.

Sponsorship

I also encourage you to prayerfully consider sponsoring pilgrims for an Emmaus weekend.

Please remember:

Sponsor prayerfully. Do not sponsor someone until you have genuinely sought the Lord’s guidance.

Do not sponsor with a specific weekend in mind. Allow God to choose the right time.

Pray for God to prepare their heart for the weekend He sets before them.

🎶 Music Note 🎶

Do you have the gift of leading worship or playing an instrument? Are you interested in serving on a music team for Emmaus Walks? There are two requirements:

• Work at least one Emmaus Walk

• Attend a music workshop (preferably after serving, but exceptions can be made)

The next music workshop will be held January 17, from 9:00–1:00 at the camp.

Campus Updates

I’m excited to share that major renovations are underway in the food closet. It is being expanded, and improvements are being made to the bathroom area on the back porch. Thank you to all who are working on and contributing to this project!

We are also in the process of purchasing new golf carts for the campus. God has blessed us with this opportunity, and we are grateful to everyone helping make this possible.

As we prepare for this Christmas season and the upcoming 2026 Emmaus year, I want to encourage each of you once again: Pray, pray, and then pray some more. We welcome every prayer lifted on behalf of this ministry.
