February 2020 Newsletter

Bubba’s Thoughts:

First, I want to thank our outgoing board members for all their service and guidance. Thank you to Kailey Burroughs, Kay Townsend, Rob Burnham, Bette Rhea, and Rev. John Goldwater. This is the first verse and chorus of the song, “God is on the Move” by 7eventh Time Down.

Anytime a heart turns from darkness to light Anytime temptation comes and someone stands to fight Anytime somebody lives to serve and not be served I know, I know, I know, I know God is on the move, on the move, Hallelujah!

As we begin a new Emmaus year for 2020, let us always remember these words:

Let there be light, Let there be progress, Let there be love, Let there be hope, Let there be change, Let there be healing, And, let it begin with me.

Let us start this year by being in prayer for our first two walks of 2020: Walk #343 Jimmy Gant and Walk #344 Natasha Powell. Support them with your prayers, attending send off, candlelight, and closing. Also support them with Agape.

Sponsorship: Sponsor Pilgrims and encourage other Emmaus friends to sponsor Pilgrims.

Prayer Chain: Prayer is the foundation of the Walk to Emmaus. Sign up for a 30 minute time on the 72 hour prayer vigil. Update your team application: You must have a current application to work.

I leave you with this final thought: Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.

In His time,

Bubba
