February, 2024
Carpe Diem, Brothers and Sisters of North Mississippi Emmaus!
I hope everyone has been enjoying the wonderful weather we have had over the last several days. That must mean that Spring is right around the corner as well as the start of our Emmaus
Walks for 2024. Currently, Hank Harrington and Tina Bethay are leading the teams of Walks 365 and 366 in preparing for our Emmaus weekends. As of now, both Walks have full pilgrim rosters, praise the Lord!! Please remember to pray and support our teams and pilgrims as they
share their time, talents, and spirits during Emmaus Walks.
The Board would like to thank Doug King for his leadership as Chairman of our Board during 2023. Doug always led with a servant's heart during his tenure as one of the Board members and we greatly appreciate his commitment to our Emmaus ministry.
As you can see, the new website is up and running. A big Thank You goes to Misty McCraw for leading and building the new website. She is implementing many new features with the site,
but it looks great. I think you will find it very user friendly. We hope to use the site more frequently to help us keep you informed about all the activities we have at Emmaus. Please help us share the new website with community members who might not have yet had a chance to view it.
Bill Maslin has led our Prayer Chain/Banner process for many years. He has been faithful to serve in this important part of our ministry and has always done a great job for us. He is ready to "pass the baton" to another member of our community. Graciously, he will continue to serve in this function until a replacement steps forward to continue our Prayer Chain/Banner, and will be happy to work with his replacement until they feel ready to take the reins. Please let me or a Board member know if anyone would like to take over for Bill.
Our ministry is no different than others in that we need additional financial support. If you feel
compelled to help us with donations, checks can be made out to North Mississippi Emmaus and sent to Les Miles, Treasurer, at 444A Hwy 12 West, Starkville, MS 39759.
