Hello to All!
North Mississippi Emmaus Community is off to a good start for 2019. Walks 333 and 334, by any and all measures, were spirit-filled weekends and the Lord provided many blessings to the pilgrims and team members alike. We thank Chris Crowson and Angela Burrell for their countless hours of prayer and preparation to serve the pilgrims. Please continue to pray for teams and pilgrims of Walks 335 and 336, led by Robert Diamond and Naomi Fryery as their weekends approach in April.
I hope you have noticed our new North Mississippi Emmaus website. The user name and password remain the same and are always listed on the back page of each newsletter. Chris Eady is our new webmaster. Please pray for him as he continues to take on new responsibilities with our communications efforts.
As the camp members continue to increase, please remember we do not allow pictures to be taken at the camp. Part of the thrill of Emmaus for pilgrims is coming to a place that they have not been and have not seen pictures of it. The Lord will open their eyes to this beautiful place as He sees fit and we should not spoil it by showing pictures before they arrive, no matter how well intentioned. Also, please remember we do not allow children to attend any Emmaus meetings.
I hope, for those of you who have not visited the camp recently, will be able to visit soon. A quick tour will show that many improvements have been made! This camp is composed of numerous buildings and grounds – each one of which requires routine and sometimes extraordinary maintenance. Rick and Bev Shepherd are the ones to thank for these improvements and for taking care of the maintenance. As you see them during the year, take time to tell them “Thank you”. They truly are servants provided by the Lord for this camp.
Our Board members are listed in this newsletter and we are always ready to help in any way we can. Please remember us in your prayers as we try to follow the Lord’s will for this camp.
Decolores!
